Course Objective:
This Certificate Program explores both Western and Eastern nutritional views as well as their benefits and shortfalls. The topics concentrate in detail on the importance of holistic nutrition in every area of life. The goal of this program is to enhance an understanding of holistic nutrition and appropriate dietary therapies. Students will learn applications of specific nutritional components to support the body. Based on the Naturopathic premise that, “Food should be your medicine and your medicine should be your food”, students will learn natural holistic health concepts that can be easily understood, implemented and conveyed to others. After completion of this course, the students will receive a Certificate in Holistic Nutritional Consultation (HNC) which can be used to help themselves, their family, community or clients. It can be used as a starting place for a graduate to start a Community Holistic Wellness practice.
